Question...???

Post by LANCE65 »

I have a friend that has a set of buckets and brackets out of a 69 motorhome(Ford truck front),an F600 dash w/round guages + vac guage, radio delte plate. He wants $450 for all of it. Does this sound like a fair price? The seats are in about the same shape as the ones listed in the classifieds. Thanks in adavance.

ebay radio delete plates have gone for around 5.00 sometimes more. is the cluster painted or chrome. the painted ones go for less than the chrome ones usually. the chrome ones can go upwards of 100.00 when everyone is bidding. the painted ones can get that high sometimes. but usually are around 50.00. the seats is up to you and your opinion. i havent seen any seats sell. i personally dont care for buckets so they are worthless to me. so i have no opinion on the worth of bucket seats.

Doesn't sound like much of a friend for that much...

Maybe $200 if it's all in very nice shape from a friend, or I'd just swap work for parts. I hate friends that try to make money off of friends.

Also keep in mind that many motorhomes have a different floorpan setup, so the buckets and brackets might not work on your truck. Here are a couple pictures I took of a bumpside motorhome in a U-Pull-It.

You can see how the floorpan area where the seats mount is built up with a plywood platform, so the bucket brackets will definitely not work on a stock pickup.

And I have to agree....he's asking a lot more than what I think those parts are worth. Just my :2cents:

Jamie, I think I did just what you said. I am working on his Baja bug for the stuff. He needs light tabs welded to the roll cage(plus I gave him an old set of KC's),move the oil filter mount, and make new fuel cell hold down straps, and some electrical work. I quoted him......$450
