I've gone through and know that the 70 is a one year only cluster. But I have a 67 cluster and a 71 cluster and plug is there any way I can use either of these? Did the wire colors change between 67 & 70 if not is there a way to where I can just take some male connectors and plug that in to its plug? Any help because I can't keep buying these d@mn clusters . Thanks in advance

i'd check the wiring diagrams. to determine the colors for the clusters. they should be close anyway. i'm sure you can but some plugs and make your own connections or you might be able to find the orginal 67 plug on line some place.

What is the problem with the '70 Cluster? If it has one or more gauges that are bad, then simply replace the gauge with one from the other Clusters you have. If the plastic circuit clipped to the back is bad, then you will have to do something else. The color codes are the same in all years but you will have a "purple" wire that might trip you up a little. You could simply cut the 70's plug off and splice it to the same color coded wires on one of the others. Either way, you shouldn't have to buy "another" cluster as you have more than enough to repair/replace yours now.

I think I will just make the 67's fit my harness. The whole reason I've had to buy different ones is because the circut stuff on my orignal 70 one has come unpeeled and quit working.

Ford kept the same wire colors for many many years...and these same colors were used in the cars as well. Here's the 'master list' that shows the color and gauge of virtually all wires from this era:

Assuming that the '67 panel you want to install in your truck is set up like your '70s (both with idiot lights or both with gauges), then it shouldn't be too much problem figuring out which wire goes where. Just snip the cluster's main harness connector from a junkyard truck and wire it in.

If you are just wanting to replace the bezel...
You can pull the instrumentation from your existing bezel and swap it with the new one...
That doesn't change any wires or functions, just the outter bezel which is what most folks wanna do 'cause theirs is faded out.
If you do need to replace everything, make sure you get the right kind... if you have lights you don't wanna swap it for one with gauges unless you wanna run some new wires.
