Windshield Wiper bezels

Out at the salvage yard yesterday i noticed a difference in the bumpside wiper switch bezels.

I saw in a '68 a bezel that said "wiper".
On two different '72 trucks the bezels said "wiper-wash"

Does anyone know when this was changed?
I know we could pick apart every different little thing about these trucks.
I'm just curious. Anybody know?

I'm always jealous of all the guys who actually have bumpsides in the yards.

We have none left here in Jersey. If I found one, I would grab everything I could weather or not I needed it. Just to be able to save something from it's impending doom... I could use a "Wiper" bezal because I no longer have a "washer" on the truck.

My 71 has the wiper-wash if that helps narrow it down.

my 69 has a "wiper". i think my 71 has the same but could be wrong. thats interesting

I think the change was in 1970. My 68 says Wiper but my 70 and 72 says wiper washer.

i asked this same question a few years ago and i dont think i ever got a responce. ti si a year identifing item though.
