Horn button

Post by moriendicha1313 »

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me out. I bought a 68 F100 and the last owner put in a aftermarket steering wheel in and made a horn button for the horn. I bought a original wheel off ebay that came with the horn button and I'm looking to install it back on the truck. My question is does anyone have a pic or diagram of a Birdseye view of a steering wheel and all of the parts needed to put the original one back on?

Thanks

Vince

:wel: to the site!

The only thing I see that you are missing in your picture is the contact for the horn. (see pic below) The stock wheel will fit over the splines and the nut will thread on to hold it. Here are some factory parts breakdowns that are on the main site, like this one http://www.fordification.com/images/sch ... column.jpg from here; http://www.fordification.com/schematics-c.htm

The custom wheel nut but nothing else drop the stock wheel on and go.

LMCtruck.com has stock wheels too.

 You weren't supposed to look that close at mine  The switch worked, just the cancel didn't... new cam would fix it... although it is going to get the whole steering column replaced when I upgrade to PS...
