i know i wanna find a seat eventually out of a newer-ish ford truck with the fold down center console with cup holders.
For now the only drinks i have have a screw on lid.... cause cold dr. pepper doesnt go good on your pants ... espically when they are white...

I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

Re: Cup holder
That's a cool idea. I did some searching on eBay yesterday, and found some good ideas. Saw one "kit" for a Chevy truck that fits at the bottom of the dash. Looks like it could work pretty well for those w/o AC.
Saw a really cool setup that looked like an audio rack system. The top unit is a coin tray, and the bottom unit is a dual cup holder. Could be made to fit under the dash as well (again for those w/o cruise).

Re: Cup holder
That just shoots down my next great idea... "portable drive through margarita bars". They would be set up on heavily congested lanes of traffic during rush hour. Boom boxes playing Jimmy Buffet music. Hot looking bar tenders, Bar maids on roller skates, etc. Something for everybody of legal drinking age. Traffic may not go any faster, but road rage would be lower.
All proceeds could go towards building more lanes, so there could be more portable margarita bars!
So you need to plan on at least two drink holders in your truck.

Re: Cup holder
How about a flip down ash tray door. Pivot it on the lower lip, then have the 'claw' mechanism pivot at the back of the door?
an no, I'm not going to make them
