volvo dash kit

I have a question for anyone who has installed one of these. What is the easiest way to mount this? I was thinking of attaching the tabs from the kit to the factory tabs in the dash. Any other suggestions? Thanks

That's what I did, but be careful with the screws you use, as there is very little clearance between the stereo and the kit itself, so it will be a really snug fit.

Whatever you do, do NOT cut the factory mounting tabs out!

If you don't want to use them, just bend 'em back out of the way, so a future owner has the option of reinstalling a factory-style radio.

I definitely won't cut the tabs out. I am trying to keep both trucks as original as possible but fixing them up.
