Where do I start with gauges?

I have a '72 F250 4x4. The temp gauge fluctautes too much be accurate. IMO anyway. Interested in a new temp, oil, volt, and RPM. I really don't want to spend too much money and would like to do the install myself. Just to learn you know? So where do I start? I've read over a lot of the previous posts and still at a loss.
