Any body want to guess which wire is what. There are two black wires going to the circuit board and one wire going to the rail, which I am guessing is the ground. Then there is another stripped wire on the opposite side, and I have no idea what it goes to.
I would like to test it to see if it works.

im going to guess and say that the two that are cloest together are speaker wires. and the other two are hot and ground.

I have this other radio that I have mentioned before. It is from a dent. It is in excellent condition, a little dirty though.
So, the wires on this one. The rail is grounded, there are two hots (I'm guessing) and then speaker wires. In the speaker wire cluster there are five wires with the center one being black. So any help would be appreiciated.

I would assume that the speaker wires all use the same ground wire, the black one in the center.bjde0b wrote:I have this other radio that I have mentioned before. It is from a dent. It is in excellent condition, a little dirty though.

The ground would be from the radio case.
And there would be one hot wire for power, and one wire for the radio light to dim with the dash lights.
But, that is just what I think. I have been know to be wrong before.

Here is my guess for the bump radio. The speaker is grounded to the frame and has one wire running to it (I don't know for sure because I haven't ever seen an original speaker). The wire without insulation is the antenna wire and then the other two black wires are ground and hot.
The light for the radio has a seperate wire on top.

Just my on the dent radio. The black speaker wire should be split and run to the neg side of each speaker. The other 4 speaker wires will be rt and lft front and rear each goes to the correct speakers positive side.
On the bump radio the bare wire is most likley a body ground, the other three lft and rt positive speaker and neg speaker ground that you split. Some trucks had a single dual cone speaker for stereo sound. Someone correct me if i am wrong but im pretty sure that's right.

Do a search on the part codes for the radios. May be info out there already so you won't have to guess.
