how is this done again i forget exactly. its neg to positive and positive to neg or is it some other way i dont think the first descrpition is correct. that makes them blowup.. how is it done i forget.

maybe it the neg to positive but instead fo hooking the bateries to each other you use one terminal off each battery for the jumper cables. i think thats how it is. please tell me if i'm right or not.

Connect the Negative of ONE battery to the Positive of the other... Don't hook up the other Neg and Pos together or it will complete the circuit and blow up!!! This leaves the Negative on one battery and the Positive on the other so the total is 24V = (2)12V in series :wink:

We have 24 Volts on are FireTrucks and talk about a pain to charge!

For us its just better to take off the bat Cables to Charge one by one.
You can put the charger to one of them and its sopost to charge them both but it ever works with us

There are really only two good ways to charge them. Either use a 24 volt charger, or if all you have is a 12 volt charger, lift the jumper that goes between them and charge them one at a time.
