Will a 68 steering column plug into a 67 truck?

Post by MustangSteve »

My 67's shift collar is shot. The turn signal switch is totally hosed also.
I have the column out while I am repairing the pedal support with a ballbearing kit. I also have a 68 parts truck that has a good tight shifter setup on the column. If I pull the one out of the 68, will it go right in the 67 and plug into the same plugs? Or am I (as usual) opening up a can of worms?

Seems like the 68 has different wiring for the horn???

Thanks for the help!

As long as both are PS or non PS they will bolt right in. The plugs I believe will connect but if they do not the wiring should be close enough to where you can re-pin the plug connector. IIRC that is
