steering column changed need wiring help....68 to 79
ok so added powersteering to my 68 and used a 79 column, i just want to know if anyone has a wiring diagram for a 79 column and a 68 column so i can move the plugs from the 68 column to the 79. i know that the 79 has 2 extra wires that are for the hazard switch that i am not going to be using. also the column i removed was a manual 3 spd and the one i am using is ps 4spd column. thanks for the help....

Yes, 67,68 and 69 are the same, also the only difference is the connector between these and the 70-72 (67-69 used two connectors and 70-72 use one connector for all the wires). Also the wire colors are the same so as long as you match up the wire colors your good.

Re: steering column changed need wiring help....68 to 79
You need to do a search not in just this forum but the whole site for "tilt". I know I did a write up with wiring for putting a 79 tilt column in my 71. I know others have done a write up on it putting a 78/79 tilt columns in their truck. I'm sure it is all the same. I think the main difference was the horn has an extra wire or something like that. It has been a while.
