Yes, I have a c-4 automatic in my '68 with a 302. I have a ratchet floor shift now, but I want a regular but most of the ones dont come with the thing that tells what gear it's in, like p r n d d 2 1 or whatever

Do you still want a floor shifter or are you wanting to go back to a column shifter?

Well it was originally a stick, that I converted over, I would rather stick floor shift. But alot of the shifters for sale, dont tell you what gear it is in, I dont have an in dash or column piece that tells you what gear it is in.

Early mustang shifter has a position indicator with it & is relatively easy to install in our trucks. Lokar makes a remote mount quadrant indicator. Nice but $$$$$

I was just going to say, try one out of an early Mustang. The depending on the year, the bezel will look different so you have your choice of a few different asthetic options. I MIGHT still have the C4 shifter that came in my Mustang, I can dig for it this weekend if you like.
