NIce  I like the relay holders! are the circuit breakers mounted in the center strip or are they the 3 down at the lower right? If not the center strip, what is/does it do? If it is the center how do you replace just one breaker?
For a town as big as I'm in, I'm not sure if/where we have a big rig scrap yard, I'll have to look around... 8)

Most of the breakers are mounted in the middle. They use 2 heavy feeds, usually 6 gauge wire, to power a buss bar. The bar is partially visible in the right of this pic.

This configuration is typical for these panels. They vary slightly depending on what engine and other options the truck was ordered with. :)

Shayne, it's hard to see in the pics but the center bar that holds the breakers has pedastals that support it. To change a breaker you spin the nuts off and wiggle it out.

Ahh, those are the circuit breakers I'm used to seeing. they were just covered with that fancy labled cover.
A guy could cut that down to how ever meny circuits he needed. :)

Hey Kaptn, I hate to say this but one of my favorite donors for electrical goodies are junk school busses. Bluebird bus and Superior coach both use a lot of Cole - Hersee components. In my book Cole - Hersee is the Mack truck of electrical parts. :)

One of my current projects is a tractor simulator for service and repair of trailer wiring. All of the switches and pilot lights came from busses I helped cut up several years ago.

Another good source for used electrical parts is an ambulence. They are full of relays, swithes, guages even miles of wire.
