are the knob fingers on the dash of a 67 more narrow than the 68 and up. i know the the hole itself is smaller.

Yes. The center-to-center distance between the holes on the mounting tabs on a '67 are 4-11/16", while the '68-'72 measurement is 5-3/4".

The mounting hole itself for the radio measures 7-3/8" x 2-5/8" for '67, and 7-5/8" x 3-1/2" for '68-'72.

:( boo. thanks for the info. are any am/fm radios that will fit in a 67 from any other ford vehicles? or do i have to buy after market?
