Hi:
I found a complete Ford 9-inch rear end at the pick-n-pull. When I turn the driver's side drum, the driveshaft turns. When I turn the passenger's side drum, the driveshaft does not turn.
Is this normal?
I don't know much about diffs.
Thanks in advance.

re: Differential Question
Sounds normal for a open differential. Does the other side turn backwards?

"Are you gonna make it all 220?"
"Yeah 220, 221, whatever it takes."

re: Differential Question
Well I'm no expert too but I would think either the driveshaft would turn or the other wheel would turn backwards.
Trying to visualize what the spider gears are doing only makes my head hurt.
Better get some other responses.
