Swapping the idiot light package for the full gauge one

Post by mikeconner1 »

Anybody on this forum ever switched over the two gauge two idiot light dash with the all gauge dash? They have different plugs for the printed circuit, just wondering if there's a "how to" for that on this forum.

Keith addressed the topic one time. You have to add a shunt for the charge gauge possibly change more wiring too. The oil pressure was easier I think. Seems like it is a sending unit change maybe. Lots of work I know. The charge light is much better than the gauge though. The light works at least. Noone ever sees movement from their gauge. They weren't great from the factory as far as I have read. Don't take my :2cents: here as fact on the changeover though. I do know the gauge for charge sucks though.
