I bought the volvo kit, what I really need to know, is how to secure the radio when I buy it, in the dash. I mean the volvo kit is just the faceplate, I need to know how my radio won't be sliding around when I'm driving? Btw, my truck is a 70 f100

I used the Highliner that you can buy in LMC. The speakers are bad, but I am going to replace them during this build. It looks pretty slick to me and is very functional. If anyone sits in the middle the sound is not very good.

OK almost ready to start the install. I got the kit a while back....but on the night of the superbowl I tore a calf muscle and achilles tendon. Was in a cast until last week. Now in a walking boot and getting more mobile everyday.

Question is. When you bend the ears back (on the 72)....do you put a screw through the plastic clip into the bent back ear or somewhere else?

Plus I wandering how in the heck those two screws are going to be able to handle the weight of the stereo. I know some have said use a metal band attached to the back. But how in the heck do you accomplish that. I see no way to access that area once you have the stereo in. I know there is probably a simple answer, but I'm at a loss. :?
