Sound System

Post by t-waits »

I am looking to update my sound my stereo in my 69 F-100. The system I have was installed in 86 and is dated to say the least. It has a Kenwood stereo/casstte and I looking to upgrade to a CD.

My question is what do you have in yours and pics would be great.

Thanks
Travis

I got a Sony deck with 5 1/4 Kickers in the doors. Pics are on my webpage in my signature. I like the radio alot, and the Kickers ain't too bad either. Also got a power antenna! Look for my update and you can see more pics too.

I just installed a Sony Xplod stereo with 6x9s in the doors. I am also trying out 2 6 inch speakers in the headliner. I'll try to post a picture this weekend.

I look forward to how the headliner works out. I wonder if it may vibrate and buzz a little. Keep me posted.

Well I finally made the decision today and will be installing a Sony CDX GT 610 with Infinity 6 1/2s. I hope it turns out well.

The only problem know is $$$$

2 great names there. Sony and Infinity. I'll bet the $$$$ will be your only gripe. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey Joshpow. Here is a picture of the headliner. I really like it and there are no rattles or buzzing.

Now I have to cover the headliner.

This is what I did. Built me a radio Box and just got me some 6x9 speaker boxes but put them on the floor! They don't get in the way and the hole system can be taken out in 10 mins.
My speakers are 220 sony Xplod and sony Xplod Radio.

I bought them at walmart for like 14$Ea. I just layed them in the floorBoard. If you have the seat all the way back they don't get in the way, Even on the drivers side I still have room to move my feet just fine. One + if you have a lil kid in the seat they can use the box as a foot rest lol  They All love my truck. I'll get some Pics of it.
