Anyone own any Central Pneumatic tools?

I'm thinking of buying this flange tool from Harbor Freight.



Anyone have any luck with any tools from Central Pneumatic?

Anyone have any suggestions of another type of flange tool they have had luck with?

I have one of those... works just fine for what it is. The tool is extremely simple, so very little can go wrong.

I bought mine in '99, last used it in mar '08. Just waiting for the next project...

I bought one of their rivet guns.

Dave bought one from MATCO.

His is red, mine is blue..... otherwise identical right down to the staples in the little bag of extra pieces.

The nibbler seems to be holding up ok.

funky? nay, my good man...... this is one of the true wonders of modern technology.

Squeeze the handle - the tool goes 'kerchunk'. If you are holding the wrong end, you get the blood blister from hell. If you have a piece of sheet metal in that bottom slot, it makes a step, so a patch will fit flush...... In the top slot, it punches a nice neat hole to plug weld.

i'm a handyman by trade and kill tools now and then....i gave hf&t a try...i own many central pneumatic tools and have found little difference, with a rare expection, from the big buck tools......all my air tools are central pneumatic and all work great...i also have 2 of their compressors and have used them to no end...

I use to work for Ingersall Rand where they make air tools and they say the biggest problem people have when the air tools fails, is because they forget to oil them, otherwise they last forever.

I agree. I have always heard that WD-40 is a no no when it comes to lubricating air tools.

Just get in the habit of dropping a few drops of oil in the chute every day before you use them and the "lesser" tools will last a good while. Also bleed the water out of your compressor everyday. Water inside a non-lubricated air tool will make even the high end tools go nasty on you.
