I've had tons of bad 'stats' on light switches cause IC light issues.
Check the rheostat coil (spring looking thing) on the front of the light switch to see if it's either broken, or if the tab that makes contact with it's corroded, burnt or broken.
(assuming you haven't already found the issue)

i have several of the 70-72 style switches if you want one. they are a replacement for the older switches. but they do mount in the dash and not the glove box. but i can send a bracket with it so that you can still mount it in the glove box if you want to. ebay has the regular 67-69 switches all the time. you just have to watch for them. also sometimes you can put the old ones back together and make them work. this si kind of a bad picture but i can get a better one if you want it.

I ordered a new Headlight switch, hopefully it'll fix the issue of having no dash lights at nite.FreakysFords wrote:I've had tons of bad 'stats' on light switches cause IC light issues.

Thanks, I'll let ya know about the 70-72 Style. I've got a spot for it on my dash, might as well use that and free up space in the glove box.fordman wrote:i have several of the 70-72 style switches if you want one. they are a replacement for the older switches. but they do mount in the dash and not the glove box. but i can send a bracket with it so that you can still mount it in the glove box if you want to. ebay has the regular 67-69 switches all the time. you just have to watch for them. also sometimes you can put the old ones back together and make them work. this si kind of a bad picture but i can get a better one if you want it.

Re: Need Some Advice, Electrical Issues...
I got my parts order from LMC last week. The new headlight switch fixed my no dash lights at nite problem. I got a $3 Turn Signal Flasher from Pepboys, that took care of the slooooow and intermitent flasher that was on it's way out. So I'm that much closer to having everything work as they should. I still got a few issues to deal with:
I put in a new horn relay, but I still have no horn. I plan on putting a Grant steering wheel soon, so i'll look at it then. I'd like it to work before that though of course.
My TS's work, except that rear passenger side one. The brake light and driving light work fine, but still no turn signal. But now if I turn on the right blinker and hit the brakes, the blinker doesn't keep blinking it just stays lit until I let off the brake, then it'll continue to blink as normal. This is only for the indicator in the dash and the front, the rear doens't blink at all.
I also got a back up light switch, but I think I got the wrong one for a different tranny. I told the guy from LMC it was a 3 speed auto, I think they sent me one for a 3 speed manual. Does anyone have a pic of how it's supposed to look? And where is the BU switch located? I imagine under the truck near the tranny but I haven't looked yet.

Re: Need Some Advice, Electrical Issues...
The TSS is probably shorting out internally causing the problem with the right side. Here are some pictures of what it looks like apart and how the wires make connections for the turn and disengage the Brake light when turning. My guess is that wire for the right side brake is not disengaging.
This one on mine was broke here causing the brake light and turn signal not to work. If this holder for the wire brakes enough then the wire will spring over and touch the other causing problems.
The Reverse light switch for an automatic is at the base of the steering column and is also part of the Neutral safety switch, it may just need adjusted in the column. See this thread for some good pictures of it and the wiring for it. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... ch#p186477

EDIT: For some reason I mixed up the turn signal flasher with the turn signal switch! A TSF is was I replaced, I need to look at the turn signal switch in the column. Thanks again!

Re: Need Some Advice, Electrical Issues...
the dash lights staying on is the feedback through the wiring from a crossed wire someplace. the bad rear blink could be a bad connection to the bulb.
