Turn Signal switch wiring???

On a '71 F100 automatic column...How many wires does the turn signal switch have? Can you tell me what color these wires are and what they control? Thanks for the help.

here is a almost correct wiring for the wires that come out of the column. i do not know what year this is from but should be real close as colors. you can trace these colors in the diagrams here http://www.fordification.com/wiring.htm
