Here is what I found that I want to get for mine, it looks like it would be a pretty close match and fit.

FWIW... The trucks i operated in the mid/late 70's had Sun Super II's mounted in the cluster. I'm sure this was done by the county, so we could carefully monitor engine speed

Here's what a "FORD" F600/F700 Dash looks like with Ford Factory Gauges:

However, the Tachometer is a converted original 4000 rpm mechanical. (speedo cable-like driven), unit. It has had the Face modified to display up to 8000 rpms, the original needle was used, and the new movement inside is a VDO electronic movement. As you can see, the dials are matched to the original speedo and vacuum gauge. The conversion to the tach is quite pricey but if that's what you want............Get IT!!

Yeah... MotorDog

Tach's on F500's and up, had mechanical drives with a speedo type cable that connected to the drive on the dizzy...
These were usually powered by FT engines, so the dizzy's with mechanical drives don't fit on FE's.
The power band on FT's is at lower RPMs that an FE, and most were equipped with goveners as well, so higher RPM readings were not necessary.
I don't know that any FE's were equipped dizzy's that had a mechanical drives...

Right Kaptn.... !! But, here's a little trivia you might enjoy. The 1955 through 1957 Thunderbird had a Dash Mounted Tach that was driven by a speedo type cable that ran to the dizzy. However, that was on the old "Y" Block 292 and 312 cid engines. Those tachs were either 5 or 6 thousand rpm units....can't remember which now.

The FT engines, as you know, were Industrial and quite different in many ways from the FE's. However, the above pictured Dash now Resides in my 1970 CS F-250 and was restored to "New like" condition for just that purpose. It monitors my slightly warmed over 460 stroker. It is also fitted with Blue/White 6 dot leds for night illumination making for an eerie white glow. This is a great combination for a "Custom" look in any 67 to 72 Bump and can be done reasonable enough so its possible.

Right on MotorDog

It certainly is a nice one for sure, one of the nicest I've seen.
I've got a white one like it in my '68 CS. It just has the 5 gauge cluster..
Eventually, I'd like to have it blasted and chromed and maybe go with some aftermarket Moon gauges to fill the holes.
Do you have any pics of yer truck with the panel installed...
yer truck sounds nice and would be a blast to drive with that stroker under the hood.
My '68 CS has a warm 390 in it and don't hold back any traffic hauling a 1700 lb camper on back.

Here's a couple links to pictures and info right here on Fordification:

http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... 16&t=36433

http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... =6&t=36626

These aren't quite up to date, as I now have the tach installed along with moving the fuel tank switch, (main and auxiliary) to beneath the wiper switch. I removed the Sun Pro tach and put it into my tool box to use again sometime, (on what, I don't know). Seems like I am always finding something else to fix, modify, change, replace, upgrade, etc. This poor old truck will never get finished!!! Getting spring so I think its time to begin the installation of the Factory A/C stuff I have acquired in the last year. Compressor is on the engine already but have to put in the rest of it.........Will be Warm here soon!
