Well, I finally got the woodgrain pieces I was looking for. The drivers side pieces came off my 72 Ranger parts truck & fordman hooked me up with the under-dash piece. Needless to say the woodgrain on all pieces was looking old & worn out. So, I set out to find some stick on woodgrain that looked good. Finally found a shop that could make a woodgrain "sticker" that was worthy of going on the truck. Here are the end results of alot of carefull measuring & cutting, with some really sharp scissors & an exacto knife. I taped everything off & sprayed the polished parts with dupli color chrome spray paint. It hid alot of knicks & scrapes.
Tell me what you guys think... I have another under dash piece comming from Joe Kriston, so I plan on re-doing it as well.

Ha ha! Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I was surprised at how nice they turned out. I had a local sign shop print up the woodgrain for me. I looked all over town Wednesday morning for some stick on woodgrain. One shop said they couldnt get it anymore, so I tryed the local automotive paint place. He could get it but it was outrageous price wise. They wanted $230 bucks for a 24"x24" squair of burl cherry wood. Thats the only one they had & it didnt even look right. I hit up Weddle signs, a local place, & me & the guy that runs the joint sat down & he made some up on the computer untill I thought it looked right. Customer service is top notch with this place. He charged me $65 bucks for a 50"x12" sheet of it. & its some heavy duty stuff. I must have peeled it off & re-stuck it 4 or 5 times & it didnt even phase it.
Here is what I have leftover. Needless to say, I have extra for future projects!

So are you taken orders for this woodgrain stickers. Just kidding, but do you think if we call them they can match the sheet you got. That really does look good. John

Wow! That came out great! You did an excellent job of cutting it out and laying it down.
Have you thought about the gauge cluster yet as a "future project"?
I'm thinking "group buy" The grain and colors you picked look like they would match the steering wheel in my bump.

H-DFord, Good thing about this place is they always save everything the custom print. He has this exact design saved on a file under my name. I can get it anytime I want!
Happy_Camper, the cluster is in the works! Im working on making a template for it right now. Im using my old cluster as a Guinea pig. Hope it turns out as good as these did. We will just have to see.
If any of you guys want some of this stuff I would be glad to go down to the place & get it for you. PM me if you need some of it. $65 bucks for a 12"x50" sheet of it. A little bit goes along way but better to have too much than not enough.
