FIrst pull the cluster, then disassemble it to where you can pull the lense out then clean it with normal household items and reassemble. That should be all you need to do.

Meguiars makes a couple of products, Clear plastic cleaner & polish for this. Follow the instructions on the bottle & use clean soft cloths...works like a champ. Just remember, wash the plastic carefully before you polish it.

it depends on how bad it is. some lenses cant be made better. heep told me to use tooth paste once. i didnt try it. but i would think you would want a toothpaste with no grit in it.

A good friend of mine owns a detail shop. He said the best way to remove scratches & "haze" from plastic is to get some Merguires mag polish, put it in a bowl. Mix it with water untill it in a watery state (like milk) then use 0000 steel wool. Soak the wool in the solution & buff away. He said you must use the 0000 wool or it will mar the plastic 000 wont work. It sounds crazy I know, but he showed me a head lamp housing he had done & it was unreal! It got all of the fog off of the plastic!!

I have yet to try it myself however........

You can also use 000 steel wool on your windows with window cleaner to get rid of the bugs and road grime. I do this all the time. :D

I tried all the above on mine, and it made it a little better, BUT in the end just bought one from Dennis Carpenter. For all the time that I would have spent hitting the junk yards, for a new plastic cover, and horn button, around $60 delivered to my door for both.
Save all the effort, and just buy a new one.

A friend of mine had dull dingy headlights and he cleaned up with windex and then sprayed clear coat on them and they look great now almost like new. The same may work for the lense in the cluster. :2cents:
