turn signal switch

Post by jschreiner »

I posted a few days back my turn signal problem, here it is.I got a new switch from DC because mine quit, long story short, the switch from DC was wired all wrong, the brake light wire was were the right turn should be,etc. I got a switch from NPD and all is well. If you change your switch, do better than me, check the wires against the old one. Jay

if the dc one was wired wrong you could have moved the pins int he plug to match the truck plug.

once I found out what was wrong, I moved the wires to make things work. The pins were larger, and would not fit, so I used male-female connectors. Why I replaced the dc switch is it had a lot of play, with the left turn on the right brake light was not on,had to lift up on the handle some so the right brake light would work. The switch also came with a wire chart, the left turn was the only wires wired right. My fault for assuming things were right with out checking first. The one from npd was in a ford box, pins correct size, same part #, and all. Jay.
