The 67 has a different type of Brake Switch from the 68-up... It is not really adjustable... They do get dirty and sticky, try cleaning it with some alcohol or electrical cleaner and see if that helps. Ok I got it half way fixed. I baught a new brake light switch and put it in and everything works. But apparently that rod that goes from the master cylinder to my brake pedal doesn't kick out all the way back. So if I tap the brake my lights will go on then off. But if I ease into brakes then ease off they will go on but stay on til I kick the brake pedal up. Idk if that's an easy fix or not. My dad said it might fix itself once its running and everything has some pressure on it

it could make the difference with some pressur eon it. i think you also may be able to bend your tab a little if that doesn't do it. just bend it enough to make the switch fully engage. i would wait until its running to do any bending of the tab it screws into though.
