sorry about that. i still have my owners manual. with the orginal buyers name in it. i need to call that guy some day. well i can look through some fuses i have and see if i can find one. don't hold your breath or anything.

It appears as though the 14 amp fuse would fit there. Not sure, though - haven't tried.
Looking at the bussman link...
the 14 amp fuse would be 1 1/16 inches long
the "normal" 20 amp fuse says it is 1 1/4 inches long
the AGX-20 would be 1 inch. Close enough that - even if the spot for that 20 amp fuse is 1 1/16" - a one inch should fit and make contact on both sides.
...wonder where I could find one of those?

i have a 1/4 inch bolt in my fuse box right now. i have had for years.

they all do seem to be different sizes. maybe you need a better parts place to get your fuses from. the owners manual might say something about fuse type and size.

Owner's manuals are a handy thing to have. I have the original that came with my bump when I bought it, but I have seen reproductions on ebay available. Here's one on ebay now...a little spendy, but I know I've seem them for around $10 in the past. Keep watching.

just get a box of .22 lr shells there is all the fuses you will need the only thing is they dont pop they bang ps nobody ever try this this is meant as a joke but an empty does fine in a pinch

i think someone posted a few years ago that some dummy actually did that. in a truck they had just bought. it was a po thing i guess.

Actually...have you every watched Mythbusters on Discovery?
They tried this (I don't remember the caliber).

Essentially it was busted. Although I think for fun they jammed a whole bunch of juice through and got it to fire.

AND OH...
Auto Zone had an assortment pack of the AGX fuses. I bought them, but haven't tried putting one in yet.

There are 2 20 amp fuses in the fuse block.
Are the different lengths?? Or am I missing something?

I can't seem to find a 20 amp fuse to fit in the spot for the Emergency/Brakes.

What am I looking for? And where do I find it???

I have attached a scan from my 69 shop manual of the specifications, it is the middle one for the F-100, F-350

it is a odd size fuse and both my 20s for brakes and turn got blown 2 months ago. my trailer harness was ran through the slide bolt bolt hole for my bumper and got pinched, so I had to cut the wires free. now I got gator clip wires holding two 20 amp blade fuse in place because I can't find 20 amp bus fuse of that size. ever buddy sells only 4.5 amp fuse for that size so I am going to splice in blade fuse holders

you did click the link(s) I posted above didn't ya you can get these at "Checker, Schucks, Kragen, Murrey's, and O'reilly" stores (and I'm sure otheres) or order them from them. These glass fuses will be made for a long time still, as they are used in industrial equipment still being made today... I wouldn't hassle with modding it myself but that's just me, I try to take the easy way.

What year is your truck, the 67's have a different amp fuse for the turn/backup lights... 14amp I think

I made a mistake up above as the Turn Signal is a 14 amp fuse (SFE14) I bet this is the one you are having problems finding... Let me do a little more looking, as I see O'reilly's doesn't show them...

Ok so I found the SFE14 (14 amps) at O'reilly's http://shop.oreillyauto.com/productdeta ... mber=SFE14 The SFE-14 amp fuses are 1-1/16" long... For the 1" long (20amp) you will have to use the AGX-20.
Here is some good info from Bussmann on the different sizes http://www.bussmann.com/6/GlassTubeFuses.html The SFE ones change in length by the amperage of the fuse. 1/4" diameter X length: 5/8 (4 amp). 3/4" (6 amp), 7/8" (7.5 amp), 1" (9 amp), 1 1/16" (14 amp), 1 1/4" (20 amp), 1 7/16" (30 amp).
