Okay so this is little less a question and more of a story.
My mom's 1970 Mustang will drain a battery in about a week to 5 days if left hooked up. This went on for years until she trusted me enough to diagnose it. So to "see" the drain I used a test light between ground post on battery and negative battery cable. Next I disconnect what though might have been draining the battery , the alternator. I thought it maybe had a bad diode and was feeding back. Turns out it wasn't the ALT so I start popping fuses until the drain goes away. I pull the EMERGEN FLASHER fuse and the drain quits. So this is where I ran out of time. So tomorrow I'm gonna un hook the flasher part and see if the drain is still there. If it is , there would be short somewhere causing the drain. Also turns out all that fuse has is the Emergency Lights so we can get away without it for a while and actually keep the battery hooked up. Now that I kinda figured the killing battery thing , next I'm gonna hit changing the seals or gaskets at the end of the headers that are starting to leak to the point of hearing them but that's a different topic. oh and also her driving car is a 2000 Mustang GT conv , yeah we got some stangs.

i would look at the bulbs and the sockets as well as the grounds just to check them. but my guess is the tss. that seems to be fords weak spot in thier cars and trucks.
