Coverting to a one wire alternator

Post by zebsligh »

I need some help guys. I want to convert my truck from the external regulator to a one wire alternator. I have a 1970 F-100 Custom with a 514 in it an all the electrical goodies, pw,fuel pump, fans, cd player, MSD. My stock alternator just don't handle the load, so I pulled out the old 160 amp Ford alternator but its' a one wire. Can anybody help with the wiring and can it be done. Thanks Zeb.
