I just did my 3G conversion today and so far so good. I do have 1 question...There is a 3 wire plug near the starter solenoid, BIG balck w/yellow stripe, red, and yellow.('71 Ranger F250) They all seamed to wind up at the same place,so I just combined them all and hooked them up to the solenoid bat side. Is that OK? Here are a few pics..OH and I did the headlight relays. ENJOY....

WOW! I just took it for a test drive, what a difference. It even seems to run smoother.

Did you tap the existing the Red/Green wire with the 3G red/green wire?

The BIG black w/yellow stripe is the Main Power wire to the cab/ignition switch.
The Red and Yellow wires should be for the Amp gauge which probably wont work with the new alternator/wiring.
What did you use for the Alternator fuse and where did you get it?

I used a BUSS 150a waterproof circuit breaker. And yes I tapped the green/red wire. I am very impressed with how easy it was,and how well it works.
