Seat Frame, Anti-Squeak-Plate?

Post by swissranger »

The Anti-Squeak-Plates between the seat frame and the floor of my 1967 F100 Ranger are missing. To fabricate a set of new ones I should know thickness as well as the kind of material (plastic? hard rubber?). Are these parts also used in case of a carpet?

it is real thin plastic stuff. i have only seen it once. i would think you would only need it if you are going straight to the metal floor of the truck. the carpet or even the rubber floor mat would act as a insulater and not be needed in those two cases. it was real thin stuff.

Hi Roman,
I bolted my seat frame directly on top of the carpet, no anti-squeak-plate, with no problems.
