Dome light wiring.
Does anybody have a down and dirty wiring diagram or discription of the wiring for the dome light? I finally got around to getting 2 door switches and need a place to start. They are fused with the cigar lighter (PC correction, power outlet) if I remember right?

Re: Dome light wiring.
Actually, you're in luck, I can tell you exactly how it's wired and I have a rough draft of a diagram that should make it clear (this is part of a set of system-by-system diagrams that I've been working on and will release a little later).
SO let's look at this diagram:
Ignore the relays at the bottom, you're only concerned with the wiring on the right side of the page.
On the back of your headlight switch connector, you'll have two G/Y (Green with Yellow stripe) wires coming out of one terminal, and two BK/B (Black with Blue stripe) coming out of another.
Connections:
*One of the G/Y wires on the headlight switch gets constant 12v+ from the fuse panel, that provides power to the domelight circuit.
*The other G/Y wire on the headlight switch connects to one side of the driver's side door switch.
*Another G/Y wire leads from the same side of the driver's door switch (the hot side) to the passenger's side door switch.
*A BK/B wire runs from the back of the headlight switch to the bulb side of the passenger's side door switch (opposite the G/Y).
*A BK/B wire runs from the back of the headlight switch to the bulb side of the driver's side door switch (opposite the G/Y wires).
*A BK/B wire splices in to the BK/B wire that runs between the headlight switch and driver's side door switch; this BK/B wire runs to the dome light for power. The dome light grounds to the chassis.
Basically, power comes in to the switches on the G/Y wires, and out to the bulb on the BK/B wires.

There are also diagrams on the main site for the dome light (courtesy light) http://www.fordification.com/images/sch ... lights.jpg

Re: Dome light wiring.
, and now that I see that he's got a '69, I should say, my diagram and explanation won't be quite right. The '69 is wired slightly differently.
