New instrument panel

Post by shaggys_bump »

So i Created a new instrument panel out of fiberglass, and i need some gauges to go in the center (Tach,Speedo). I was wondering if anyone new if there were any factory style Gauges that would hook up to the factory setup or to and aftermarket speed sender?

Nice work Shaggy, the bugger is going to be mounting the Ford stuff. All of their gauges and speedo, etc, were made to be easily mounted on an assembly line, and they dont really lend themselves to aftermarket fabbing, like you and I are doing. I am doing an F600 dash, and mounting the aftermarket gauges was easy enough, the problem is, I have to cut out the rest of the factory mounting behind the dash to clear the new gauges and still hold the factory speedo in place. Let us know what you decide to do. Try Summit and J C Whitney, they have some pretty good stuff in the catalogs.

thanks, if i could ever find some guages for it i could make a mold and build a solid unit,
but i cant find any i like.
Are the speedo guages in a 90-95 f150 cable driven or electric, and if they are cable driven i wonder how far out of calibration they would be?

There are several speedo gears you can change in the trans, as well as getting the speedo calibrated for your setup.
