1968 F250 Camper Special - Door Latch/Release Mechanisms

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone might be able to help me out. I am in the process of restoring a 68 F250 Camper Special and I am in need of the door latch/release mechanism for both doors. NPD, Dennis Carpenter, LMC and countless other websites I have visited do not have the 67-72 mechanisms available (original or repro version), however; they do have the 61-66 and 73-79 versions available. The 73 - 79 mechanisms appear awfully close to my existing assemblies, but I would hate to spend the money on them and later find out that a great deal of fabrication/work is necessary to accomodate these into my doors. Anyways, to make a long story short, I either need help either locating a pair of these latches/releases or could someone tell me if the 73-79 models are compatible with my years doors?

i think 67 is a one year only the rest from 68=72 are interchangeable.
