Re: town car seats.
you can mount anything you want with a little fabrication, but it has been my experience that most later seats are too big for our trucks. i am 6 foot with fairly long legs and i can't get enough leg room with anything other than the stock bench. i imagine the early buckets like out of a mustang or van would be okay, but those big plush seats don't leave enough leg room.
do you drive with your stock seat all the way back right now?

i bet you could. i would think the truck is wider than the newer town cars. its all in the brackets.

Re: town car seats.
i wasn't talking about width, but about depth. if you have shorter legs newer more plush seats will work, but for us long legged types, the stock seats aren't even deep enough. if you want to see cab room, sit in a 97 and up f150. lot's of leg room in those "funny" cabs.

Re: town car seats.
thanks for everyones help, i was thinking the exact same thing they are probably too wide. if i take the gas tank out then maybe it would work. i dont drive the truck right now, i need a windshield and a seat to start driving it. i was just going thru my local craigslist and found a good deal on these seats, but im 5'9 so i would probably have to be all the way back on the bench seat. and yes they are very comfortable seats, i drive a 95 old 88 and you get sleepy driving.
