Gas gauge

Post by michael69 »

While I was replacing the gauge lens with new one I hit the gas gauge needle and it moved way up to the full mark I moved it back to where it looked right and when I put back in truck it no longer works it don't even move at all. Anyone with any ideas to get it working again.

The gauges have delicate mechanisms inside. I think it is damaged and you will have to replace it.

I'd bet ya' someone here has a spare fuel gauge laying around.... other than that check e-bay or a junkyard for a used dash panel to pull a working gauge out of.

Thank's ,but luck was on my side this time. I pulled bezel back out today and found the wire had gotten pulled off. I guess it was pulled off when reaching behind cluster to hook speedo up. I just knew I had messed it up. :woohoo: :woohoo:
