Dash pad cover vs dash pad

Post by zentar »

Are dash pad covers a bad thing? My dash is ok except for a big crack down the middle where its seperated and as we all know there is a huge difference in price between those. Do they just not look good/fit good or what? Dont want to waste my money.

i seen one on a truck. it looked good to me. the only thing that looked wrogn but it was hard to tell was that this one wasnt glued very good to the dash up by the windshield area. it would move if you pushed down on it. but maybe they didnt glue it down very good i dont know. it looked fine to me other than that.

i was lucky enough to be able to see one. it is hard palstic just liek the plastic inside of cars they make today. it probabaly abs . i dont kno wif its impact resistant but i dotn think it would need to be on top of a dash. it woudl have to be sunlight resistant or fade resistant though. i dont know if it is or not.

I have a cover on my 67.I absolutely love it.My dash had several cracks in it and looked really bad.Mine has one ripple in it by the speaker holes where I didn't glue it down well enough but that's my fault and not the cover.I recommend them. They are hard plastic but hopefully we won't ever have to find out how crash resistant they are.
