where does this go?

where does this go?
can anybody identify what this plug would go to. it comes out of the firewall inline with the coil, but the three wire hookup beside of it is full, and by the way i still can't get this thing to run! i put up a picture.

My truck had those to and what I could find out was that it was for some kind of emissions equipment. If you look under the dash and trace them, the othe end will go into the door jamb and hook up to some kind of temperature activated switch. (If it's still there) I know for sure that it's not for the washer reservoir. I took mine out and used that whole and the gromet to pass my manual choke cable trough. Beside the temperature activated switch in the door jamb the little wire harness just hooks up to a positive wire under the dash.

foringamex, thanks for the info, i think you are on to something, the only other thing i saw was on a wiring diagram on here somewhere i think it was for a 70 and it was for a carb from the factory. some kind of cilenoid or something

That may just be for activation of the selinoid used to control the throttle during fast deceleration. I have never seen one actualy hooked up. Closest i came to seeing a complete emissions system on a 72 was one that had all the stuff for the Transmission controled spark system.
