Also still available from Ford. Fixing the old one depends on whats wrong with it. Sometimes it's just a sunk float.

the sending units use a wire wrapped around a piece of plastic or something like that. it is what i think is called a rheostat. a point type of thing from the arm runs across those wires wrapped on the board. the place on the board the potn stouch send a signal in strength or weakness to the gas guae to give a reading. if the wires on the board inside of the sending unit are broekn or messed up it is almost impossible to repair them. or wrap a new wire around there. it might break that board they are wrapped around. it coudl be something as simple as the points are worn down or or just off to one side or came unsoldered. you will just have to take the cover off and see whats wrong. i foudn that i do not have the patiences or will to attempt to reapir these kinds of things. so i get used ones and use them or use two used ones and make one good one.

I used this and performed the fix on the sending unit it wasn't to difficult and i ended up with a working gauge on my 67. The link help you troubleshoot and figure out what the problem is.
67 F100 240 I6 3spd now gone :(
