dash pad grilles

i have two sets of dash pad defrost duct grilles that i could find and look at tonight. both of them have the screws holes offset on each side. i thought they were straight across from each other. am i right or are they suppose to be offset? i could have sworn they were suppose to be straight across from each other.

i had a lookat the truck today. the dash holes are also off set. so i must have been remembering differently. the dash screw holes are off set also. so they will line up with the grilles i have painted.
