trying to get my blinkers working on the 67. i have a flaming river column which has wires for power coming in, brake lights, and RH and LH blinkers. this will be all custom wiring nothing with factory harness under dash. my questions are- i picked up a 2-4 bulb flasher where do i wire this in at? what has to be done to brake current on the brake lights, im also only runnnig blikers at the rear.

If you look at this factory wiring diagram then you can find out where to place the blinker from where the factory one was wired in. Hopefully that helps.

Hey loweredf1,
Is the main harness itself stock or is it custom ?
If it is just wiring a custom column to a stock harness, that shouldn't be to difficult...
Instead of matching colors, you match up functions.
It would be the same with matching the custom column to the custom harness by function.
Do you have the diagrams for the new wiring?
I haven't got a clue how you could figure out the wire functions without a diagram.
I'd shoot Thunderfoot a PM, he's our electrical guru, and knows his stuff pretty well.

Re: blinkers
all very good points. i wasnt going to say anything abotu this oen. i dont really get involved in any thing that isnt factory. buti did get an idea from 6T7merc. you say that you will have a custom harness under the dash? or that yo uwant to bypass the under dash wiring? any way if you want to custom make your whole dash and turnsignal harness. then get a larger bladed type of fuse box. and then leave open the extra circuts. and use the factory diagrams to build your new harness dash and all. you could also use those extra circuts later for upgrades or other features for your truck. i think i saw a truck for sale recently that had a harness just like i described. it was all custom he said. i think that is the best i can help with a non factory deal. i hope it works out for you.
