Yeah...

I bought a '71 F250 that had it in the bottom and back of the cab... it looked pretty good too.
A few guys here have talked about using it as well.

I have bedliner on the floor of my 70 F250 and plan to do my wifes 70 F100 down the road. Just make sure the floor is rust free before you do it. I had to fix some rust spots by the kicker panels. Luckily it was only surface rust. I like how it turned out.

As far as rust goes, you can also POR-15 over it and bed liner over that. They make a special bed liner material for use with POR-15.

I was gonna get a new rubber floor, but after reading this thread I'm thinking bedliner material would be better. Should cut down on interior noise as well.

Does anyone have pics of trucks with bedliner on the floor? I'm seriously considering doing this to my truck.

Also, has anyone ever done bed liner on the BOTTOM of the cab? On the bottom of the bed? How well does it hold up? Does it adequately protect from further corrosion?

por 15 or undercoating would work on the bottom of the cab and bed.

Fordman I understand that many on Fordification like to use POR15. I was just wondering about alternative or supplemental coatings. I don't know much about bed liner materials, and thought maybe that would serve as a good undercoating material.

i know what you mean. bedliner might be better than undercoating. undercoating will come off after several years.

When I recently painted the bottom of my cab I used POR-15 put on a couple of coats, then while it was tacky I sprayed on bedliner in a can. That way it would bond chemically and I know if the bedliner stuff chips I still have a good amount of POR-15 underneath it. It still need field testing though as my project still sits in the garage.

If I had the money my preference would be to have the entire bottom of the cab and bed done with Line-x. I would guess it would help some with sound too.
