Post by brandon.k »

Here it is. My granddads old farm truck. Ive had it for years. Ive had lots of Mustangs and sport bikes and out of all of them this thing has always been the most fun. :woohoo:

That's like looking at a picture of my truck when I got it!

until the city forced the issue i had an all green 69 ranger it was boxwood i believe. City doesn't like anything that doesn't run. So i carted it off to work, and parted it up. almost wish i'd made it a runner instead of the '72.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

It looks about the same. I haven't gotten it painted, yet. The body is straight and solid but the paint is bad. The previous owner sprayed the primer on it. I started sanding it, but the project has kind of slowed down the past year. It's up on blocks in the barn, covered in dust.

I know what you mean. The stupid City of Iowa Park is starting to push that a little harder. They have been messing with a guy here thats restoring a 65 mustang under his carport for his son. They gave him a certain amount of time to get it running and driving or said they would haul it off. Freakin stupid.

Ive been wanting to paint mine for 15 years now but never could pick a color. Ive now decided to paint it back like it is and put the chrome back on. If i can figure out how anyway. I pulled all the little tabs that hold the clips on thinking i was just gonna smooth it all out.

I know what you mean. I hated the color when I first bought the truck, but it kind of grew on me.

That color is sweet, I think it will look better stock than any other. One of my favorites.

Thank Ya, Thank ya very much....(in my best Elvis voice)
She's got a ways to go, but I'm happy with the way it's heading.

I really dig that 2 tone color combo your truck is wearing. When I think of a Bump, something like that is the classic I envision!
Have you seen a truck with a fresh coat of paint in that combo?...It looks pretty sharp!....(though I am also a big fan of the "PATINA" look!)
The old girl has EARNED her Battle Scars!...Wear 'em proudly. :)

...Sometimes I wish that I had just put the body back on the chasis when the suspension work was done & just kept my truck in it's original
paint so I wouldn't have to be as careful with it as I know I'm gonna have to be.
...Kinda takes SOME of the fun out of it,... worrying about every little scratch.

PS. your wheels & stance look great!
