3 Pt. Shoulder Belt Tap/Bolt Size

What is the correct bolt/tap size for the 3pt Shoulder Belts mounting bushing on the cab wall? 7/16 or 3/8? Fine or Coarse thread?

the floor bolts are 7/16 fine. i would guess the top bolts to be the same.

From the factory, mine was 3/8 NC

Oh Cr@p. Once I pulled the taps out, I realized 7/16 wasn't going thru there so I tapped it 3/8 fine. I'm hoping that won't be an issue.

No, that wont be a problem, just buy a 3/8 NF grade 8 bolt and you'll be set

Are the shoulder holes already threaded? People talk about tapping them but is that just to clear the threads?

from what i heard on the site. some trucks were tapped and others werent. i think it was who may have called in sick that day or something. i dont know. you'll just have to pull the plug and look. i have only looked at two trucks myself in those hoels. and both of them were tapped. one was a 67 and the other was either a 69 or a 70. i cant remember now.
