Hi all,
My 70 ranger has no dash pad and I may have a line on one.
The truck paint code is P2 but has been repainted medium blue. My question is what color would the interior be and what color the dash pad? I believe the p is box wood green and the 2 is new lime. On the exterior, which would be above and below the bumpside molding?
Thanks for the help.

My truck has a Boxwood Green interior, and the dash pad and door panels were black.

what color should the steering column be? Its black now, and I will be swaping to a floor shift column.

Re: 70 f100 dash pads
column color depended on the trim package of your truck. standard cabs and custom cabs all had the black or a white usually black. unless the truck was white. sport custom ranger ranger xlt camper special all had the columns painted the same color as the main body of the exterior of the truck.

Re: 70 f100 dash pads
It actually depended upon the interior trim color.
Mine is sort of yellow (but I think it's called some sort of green) on the hood and above the bump. The lower body and roof are darker green.
The seat, door panels and dash pad are green, with the "yellow" dash.
The steering column and wheel are the darker green.
I know this is factory, because my wife's grandfather bought the truck new.
They had some "crazy" paint and color schemes for these trucks, based on today's standards. I don't think there's a good "rule-of-thumb" to cover these, except, as fordman said, for the black or white columns of the "base" models.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

Re: 70 f100 dash pads
I almost wonder if there was any SET order. My 71 SportCustom is Swiss-Aqua which I don't find in 71 paint charts but usually 72 charts. It came with black dash, black vinyl door panels, black/gray floor mat and black column and steering wheel.
I say unless it is in ultra perfect condition paint it what color you like.

Re: 70 f100 dash pads
thanks for all the replys.
The 71 the column I will be repairing had a red interior, so the column is red (now)
My 70 had the "quick" repaint over as much as they could back when. The columns a flat black along with steering wheel except where the black is worn off to show the green. While I am not trying to restore as original, I do want avoid doing things twice.
70 f1OO, do you have some pictures you can share of your interior. Is your paint code P2? Mine looks nothing like stock and needs redone....Also any pictures of exterior to see if I want to go back those colors would be nice.
Thank you
