Guys, I need to hot wire the 351w in my 74' parts truck. I want to get it running & at least see if it sounds healthy. Its been sitting under a shed since 03 & hasnt been started since. The PO stated he parked it due to electrical problems. I can vouch for him, the wiring looks like h3ll.
Re-learn me on how to do it from under the hood. All of the under dash wiring is toast & half of its missing, so doing it from under the hood is my only option.
Power to the + side of the coil
- side of coil goes to dist.
tap the starter lead to the batt to turn it over
Correct?

You GOT IT!!
Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because they have to say something.--Plato
Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
That's not an oil leak That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!
