'69 Explorer Dash Options

Does anyone make a replacement for the Teakwood accents on the 69's? If so I can't find one. The wood is on the radio knobs too. It's looking pretty tired, and I'd replace it if I could, but if not, I may want to consider a custom instrument panel. Are they pretty much plug and play? I realize they can get a little pricey, but I want it to look nice whether it looks original or not. Any options I should consider?

get a pic of those radio knobs. ive never seen that. as far as reproductions the vendors have the instrument panel covers. or you can also get an instrument panel out of a f600 to up grade the look of your truck.

I'll get a picture of the knobs, but the vendors ive seen only have the 70-72 wood, and not the 69 wood. You know of any specifically off the top of your head?

i missed the 69 part. as far as i knwo they arent reproduced. oyu can go to a sign shop they may be able to reproduce the woodgrain sticker. papbug got soem wood grain from a sign shop. it wasnt original but he said they had more designs that what he bought.

That Teak wood insert was a '69 only thing. Nobody that I could find makes it.

I may try the brake fluid. I may have to check into the contact paper thing too, because one of the knobs has a chunk of wood broken off.
