wiper delay wire to move

Post by fordman »

i have two wiper delays now. i thought i moved the one wire in the first one i got. i may not have. because the second one i pulled today looks the same wire positions as the first one i already thought i moved the wire in. the wire to move is the blackj wire with the white stripe. is that right? the two setups i have a1987 and 1980 switches. the wires are in the fianl plug just before i plug my truck wires into it right?

the junkyard has 4 more out there right now. i am going to get at least one more. for mt 4wd. or more if anyone else wants one.

I cannot remember but somebody out there knows. One set up doesn't need the wire moved if I am thinking right.
I think there is a tech page on here somewhere about it.
I thought I had a spare. Now that I sold my Bronco my 71 is my only driver until I get my Maverick running and of course now I am having electrical problems with it. lol I lost all inside power and wipers today

i read the write up about it. its just this one doesnt have that color of wire. my memory is going out on unimportant things. and this is one of them that i have forgotten about. i thought i already moved the wire. but i didnt because they both have the wires in the same places on both plugs.so i am lost as what to do now.

I hear that. My CRS is working over time lately. I have gone to the house for tonight but if you have not had an answer by tomorrow noon or so and IF I remember, lol. I will look at mine and tell you what colors got to what spaces.
I did fix my electrical problem today. I had a connection come loose on the back of my ignition switch. I thought all power to the fuse block came straight from the fusible link on the solenoid. Mine at least goes through the ignition switch for the radio, cabin light, turn signals, wiper switches and cigar lighter.
I finally have my washer tank working. lol

Cdeal, yes it all comes to the fuse first but some go from there to the ign switch, then .come out on the side that only works with switch on/running or accessory on.

Fordman i too knew what color for the 80-87 switch but got a 77-79 switch and it was the black and white wire on it so i through out the info for the newer switch.

if someone can identify the wire, i'll take a switch to put the delay on the crew.

if i'm thinking its the last wire over by the black and white and simply connects no where stock when hooked to our wiring.
