No, I'm just talking about the brake light. The dash indicators never come on. So, I hit the brakes, both brakes come on, but when I turn the turn signal switch to the right, the right brake light goes off. Same with the left side... so the switch is connected to something somewhere... hmmm.

ok in theory the wire goes from the turn indicator to the flasher and then out to the blinker. so if the circut is not being totally completed and the blinker doesnt flash but the brake light does go out like it is suppose to. then i would guess bad socket or bad bulb.

Well, alright, problem solved. I pulled everything apart again and sprayed a little cleaner on things, plugged it back together and voila! Not sure what was dirty or maybe not connected securely enough, but it works now... Oh well. Thanks for the help!

Actually the power comes from the fuse box, through the "Flasher" and then to the TSS, and out to the bulbs. The flasher is HOT all the time (with the key on) until the TSS directs it to the bulbs, which are grounded completing the circuit.

Sounds like your problem was either the "Blue" wire or the "Orange/yellow striped" wire on the connector for the instrument panel, as these are the 2 wires in and out of the flasher, one of them was not making a connection.

If it Looks good and Works good then it's ok by me. Everything has its issues from time to time...
