Headliner/Door Panel Questions

[Jay's67F100]

I'm starting to fix up the interior of my 67 F100. I pulled down the headliner to paint it and the trim, it's missing one trim screw and what ever holds in the headliner to the roof from the center. I've looked in 3 different parts catalogs (NPD, LMC, Dennis), and didn't see anything ressembling that part. Does anyone have a pic of what it looks like, and maybe where I might find one short of a wrecking yard?

Also, what's a good spary paint that closely matches the factory off white paint? I plan on spraying the sun visors and the rear view mirror also.

The door panels in my truck have no trim bordering the panels, are there supposed to be? They're the original metal basic door panels.

Not sure about 67's but my two 70's just have a screw in the center and the edge trim screw. I think the door panels depend on which model you have whether it be custom, sport, explorer.I have a custom and an explorer that have just the metal door panels.

My headliner has a screw in the middle. The headliner started cracking around it so I put a flat washer between the screw and headliner. I painted it black to match the color of the dash and doors. the color of the truck is black with a dark red seat which I got years ago out of a 79 F100

My original headliner on my 72 was just held in place with a sheet metal screw similar to what was used around the side trim and a "cup washer". You can pick either up at any hardware store.

Nice! Thanks for the pic Montana71-F100! On my 67 there were 3 or 4 of those type of screws that held the headliner to the roof. No I know what to hunt down.

some trucks not all of them had or have a small wooden block under that screw. or somplace under there the scews goes into as well as into the metal brace.

As far as a good spray paint that matches the factory off white paint, I used Rustoleum Satin White spray paint on my '72. I replaced the original headliner this summer and repainted the metal trim brackets at the same time. I found this can of rustoleum to match my truck's original cream/off-white color for the headliner brackets. You can find it at Lowes or Home Depot.
